Youth Leads. Tomorrow Follows.

HilMUN 2026 is a one-day national Model United Nations conference for secondary school students,
planned and run by the student Executive Board of the Hillel Academy Model United Nations Club with
the support of Hillel Academy and sponsors. Around 100 delegates from eight to ten invited schools will represent UN
Member States, debate live international issues, draft resolutions and take them to a General Assembly
plenary.

    About the committee

    Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly being incorporated into areas including healthcare, education, finance, public administration, national security, law enforcement, and military decision-making. While AI can contribute to economic development, scientific advancement, and the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations, its development and use also raise significant questions under international law. However, due to the novelty of such technology and it's rapidly advancing pace of innovation, its unpredictability leaves states questioning how reliable, safe and predictable it is to contain it with law.
