GVMUNC 2024

Greetings international delegates,

Welcome to the first ever Global Virtual Model United Nations (GVMUNC), hosted on May 4th, and based in Bridgewater, New Jersey! Join us for the day as we introduce ideas, debate solutions, and finally implement resolutions. Participate in a growing international committee of diplomacy and discussion, and prove your skills as a Model UN delegate.

This year, GVMUNC is offering delegates the option between two committees:

1. European Union (EU) - Intermediate - Delegates in this committee will represent European nations, and discuss tackling the Russo-Ukrainian War, and dealing with political extremism in society.
2. Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC) - Beginner - Delegates in this committee will represent all UN member states, and discuss countering nuclear proliferation, and regulating the militarization of artificial intelligence.

Each committee will have five awards, as follows:

• Best Research and Preparation
• Honorable Mention (x2)
• Outstanding Delegate 
• Best Delegate

Note that a position paper, while not required, is strongly suggested for award eligibility. Delegates are expected to research their topic thoroughly, starting with the provided topic briefs, and prepare for committee. Additionally, make sure to check the code of conduct, and reach out to us if you have any questions.
