Tomorrow ’ s World, Today ’ s Choices: Moral Responsibility in a Changing Era

GIISMUN Tokyo Chapter 6, hosted by the Global Indian International School Tokyo, is a student-led Model United Nations conference taking place from 3rd–6th July 2026 in Tokyo, Japan. Guided by the theme “Tomorrow’s World, Today’s Choices: Moral Responsibility in a Changing Era,” the conference invites delegates to engage with pressing global challenges through diplomacy, debate, and international cooperation.

GIISMUN Tokyo Chapter 6 features committees for beginner, intermediate, and advanced delegates, creating an inclusive platform for students of varying MUN experience levels. Topics range from food insecurity and environmental degradation to artificial intelligence ethics, refugee crises, censorship, and international peace and security. A Japanese-language UNICEF committee will also explore the issue of the digital divide in ensuring access to children’s education and protection.

The conference aims to empower young leaders to think critically, speak confidently, and collaborate across perspectives to develop practical and ethical solutions to modern global issues. Through formal debate, lobbying, resolution writing, and diplomacy, delegates will gain valuable experience in public speaking, negotiation, research, and policymaking while fostering a deeper understanding of international relations and the responsibilities of global citizenship.
