Experience Diplomacy in Giessen!
GiMUN 2026
This year’s GiMUN conference will take place from September 18–20, 2025, at the Plenarsaal, Rathaus Gießen (Berliner Platz 1, 35390 Gießen).
Ahead of the conference, we will host a Rules of Procedure Workshop on September 18, 2025, from 14:00 to 17:00 at the Law and Economics Campus of Justus Liebig University Giessen (Licher Str. 68, 35394 Gießen). The workshop will provide participants with an introduction to Model United Nations procedures and offer the opportunity to ask any questions about the conference and debating process.
Conference fee: participation is free of charge (the 0.01 € won't be charged).
Included: participation for the entire conference, as well as the rules of procedure workshop, and catering for the two conference days (water, coffee, tea, fruits, pizza).
This is a student-organized conference – from students for students. Accordingly, we maintain a policy of minimal barriers to participation; consequently, the event is free of charge. Kindly be advised that, due to the absence of a registration fee, we are unable to provide or facilitate additional social events or accommodations. Nevertheless, in recent years, delegates have congregated post-session within the city to socialize and foster connections; the city offers numerous options for such activities. Regarding accommodation, attendees are responsible for arranging their own lodging.
We would like to emphasize that we cannot issue any visa letters.
