To the Voices Shaping Tomorrow,

With immense pride and anticipation, we welcome you to the 11th Edition of the Chittagong University Model United Nations 2027 (CUMUN 2027).

Building upon more than a decade of diplomacy, dialogue, and intellectual engagement, CUMUN returns this year not merely as a conference, but as a platform for reimagining the systems that shape our shared world. In an era defined by geopolitical transformations, emerging global challenges, and an increasingly interconnected international order, the resilience of multilateralism depends upon the ability of global governance to evolve with the societies it serves. CUMUN 2027 seeks to explore how strategic foresight, institutional transformation, and societal adaptability can reinforce international cooperation and pave the way towards a more equitable future.

The world today stands at a critical juncture. Traditional approaches to global governance are being tested by challenges that transcend borders from geopolitical tensions and economic inequalities to technological disruption, climate change, humanitarian crises, and evolving security dynamics. Addressing these challenges requires more than isolated national responses; it demands adaptable societies, strategic policymaking, and renewed commitment to meaningful multilateral cooperation. CUMUN 2027 therefore calls upon young diplomats to question conventional frameworks, engage with diverse perspectives, and envision pathways towards a global order capable of adapting to an ever-changing world.

Since 2015, the Chittagong University Model United Nations Association (CUMUNA) has cultivated a distinguished legacy within Bangladesh’s diplomatic and academic landscape. Over the years, CUMUN has evolved into a vibrant confluence of ideas, perspectives, and aspirations, bringing together young minds passionate about international affairs and global governance. Each edition has strengthened this legacy by creating a space where diplomacy transcends formal debate and becomes an exercise in understanding, negotiation, cooperation, and collective problem-solving.

Now, entering its eleventh edition, CUMUN 2027 seeks to carry this legacy forward while opening a new chapter in its journey. Under the theme of "Revitalizing Global Governance Through Strategic and Societal Adaptability to Strengthen Multilateralism for a Sustainable Future" the conference will feature 8 committees, each meticulously curated to simulate prominent international forums and address pressing issues confronting the contemporary world. Through rigorous debate, strategic negotiation, and collaborative policymaking, delegates will be encouraged to navigate complex challenges and develop solutions grounded in diplomacy, adaptability, and multilateral cooperation.

CUMUN 2027 is not simply an opportunity to simulate the workings of international institutions. It is an invitation to understand the forces transforming global governance and to contemplate how nations and societies can adapt together. It is where strategy meets dialogue, where diverse perspectives converge, and where the ideas of today’s youth can shape the possibilities of tomorrow.

As we embark upon another chapter of diplomacy, deliberation, and discovery, CUMUN 2027 extends its invitation to every aspiring diplomat, scholar, and visionary who seeks not only to understand the world, but to engage with the challenges of reshaping it.
