About CECMUN
The Centro Educativo Crecer Model United Nations (CECMUN) is a student-led initiative that brings the spirit of the United Nations to life. Organized with the rigor and commitment of an IB World School, CECMUN provides a platform where students develop essential skills in communication, critical thinking, negotiation, and leadership.
Guided by the International Baccalaureate philosophy, we believe that education extends beyond academics—it is about shaping responsible, globally minded individuals. At CECMUN, delegates don’t just debate international issues; they also take action to help those in need, reflecting the real purpose of the UN. Through our altruistic vision, we connect debate with service, creating meaningful impact in our community.
CECMUN is also committed to inclusivity and accessibility. We aim to extend this transformative experience to students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to participate by offering scholarships that open the doors of diplomacy and leadership training to all.
In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our committees and activities are designed to encourage students to explore global challenges and propose innovative, ethical, and sustainable solutions.
More than just a simulation, CECMUN is a movement that empowers young people to engage with the world, take action, and embody the values of international cooperation, service, and peace.
