Finding Common Ground: Building a Culture of Diplomacy in a Divided World
We are excited to announce a beginner-friendly, two-day conference in the vibrant city of Bristol. Join us after your exams to get back into the mood for conferences and prepare your debating skills for LIMUN. Open to all levels from beginner to advanced, with debates held in a historic Grade II* listed building, this is a perfect opportunity to reconnect with your MUN colleagues from the West Country and beyond.
The Theme
The fundamental ethos of the United Nations is that we can strive for a better world through peaceful cooperation, building mutual trust, and ultimately working together to resolve differences and achieve shared goals by finding common ground.
This approach has been threatened in the past, and faces further difficulties today in an increasingly divided and belligerent world. How do we build upon and reinforce this culture of diplomacy? How could we have done so in the past? These are the questions the BrisMUN 2025 committees will seek to answer.
