About the committee

This Historical Crisis Committee will revisit a key and pivotal conflict in shaping international justice and a pivotal point marking the turn of the 21st century. The starting point for this committee will be May 2nd of 1992. In this committee delegates will play the roles of actual historical and modern figures that played a role in the conflict and participate in engaging, hectic, and action packed historically accurate scenarios that are sure to make delegates think on their feet.

Regulations on Weaponisation of Outer Space & Anti-Satellite (ASAT) Tests

About the committee

The world’s four largest and most powerful militaries, each with an indigenous space programme (the USA, Russia, China, and India), have begun ASAT testing in space. ASAT testing disables and destroys satellites in orbit around Earth. In addition, the use of directed sensors of high-energy microwaves to demolish satellite sensors (both from Earth and in space itself), as well as the use of inspection and repair robots and satellites by other countries (most notably China) to attempt to sabotage satellites, is growing. This issue affects every single person in the world with access to the internet; the potential outbreak of war in space could lead to the indiscriminate destruction of several military and civilian satellites. Delegates will need to establish debate regulations, propose clear rules and punishments for violations, and reach an agreement that safeguards the interests of the world at large and prevents a new war zone from forming in space.

Protecting Democratic Integrity in Africa: Foreign Interference & Digital Manipulation

About the committee

Across the continent, foreign actors influence elections through disinformation campaigns, covert funding, cyberattacks, and political pressure. These actions undermine democratic institutions, weaken public trust, and threaten regional stability. The African Union is positioned to coordinate regional standards for transparent elections, secure digital systems, and fair political financing. Delegates will debate cybersecurity cooperation, regulations on foreign funding, and how to strengthen AU election-monitoring mechanisms, in addition to, strategies for countering disinformation, ensuring voter education, and promoting long-term democratic resilience across member states.

About the committee

Despite global progress, women and girls continue to face violence, discrimination, and inequality in every region. This committee will explore strategies to strengthen legal protections, improve access to social services, and promote gender equality in political, economic, and social atmospheres. Delegates will debate the effectiveness of existing international frameworks, propose new initiatives, and seek collaborative solutions to empower women worldwide.
