Counteracting Asymmetric Distributions of Power

ACADEMUN 2026

Event Overview:
ACADEMUN is a high-school Model United Nations conference hosted by Academia International School Basel in Switzerland. Initially founded in 2023 as an internal body by students to help peers develop their research, public speaking, and international networking opportunities while allowing club members to learn organisational skills, ACADEMUN will debut internationally in October 2026. After three consistent years of developing what an ideal conference looks like, ACADEMUN combines real student experience to create a fun, diplomatic and enjoyable MUN environment.

Counteracting Asymmetric distributions of Power
Inequality is sewn between the lines of society and politics, limiting how power is executed. From personal expression to political persecution, distributions of power created hurdles for millions in achieving equity. Is approaching larger social issues โ€“ land conflict, oppression, technological developments โ€“ at their core the answer to counteracting this systemic contention? For ACADEMUN 2026, we are Counteracting Asymmetric Distributions of Power.

Venue:

Academia International School Basel

Hochstrasse 16, 4053 Basel, Switzerland
