Welcome Delegates! I am Vildan Drpljanin, 23 years old student at the Master Programme in Public International Law at Utrecht University. I obtained my Bachelor of Laws at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, and I am in the process of writing a thesis for a Double Master Degree Programme in Intellectual Property Law with the University of Strasbourg. I started doing debate when I was a junior in high school. From the very beginning, I entered an unknown world of arguments, one which in every step of the way demanded of me to think profoundly about questions of morality, ethics, science, policy and much more; something that was quite contrary to my surroundings where religion and authority are considered the absolute truth. Similarly, the possibility to join URUMUN is a distinctive opportunity to see how international law, and specifically the United Nations, work and to improve your speaking and negotiating skills. I strongly believe we will share a lot of great memories and that URUMUN will be an experience you fondly remember!
