February 2018
Dear Delegates and Advisors, Abidjan Model African Union or ABIMAU, provides an international platform to young people across Africa and around the world where they safely engage with each other in an intellectually stimulating environment. ABIMAU 2018 will take place in Abidjan and the entire bureau at the International Community School of Abidjan (ICSA) enthusiastically welcomes you to the event. The participants are expected to assume the roles of African leaders while they engage in in-depth research, prepare position papers on the issues faced by the continent, and negotiate with their peers to find a solution. Participants can join as part of a delegation or as individual delegates. For more information, please e-mail the staff at info@abimau.com Through ABIMAU, delegates sharpen their oratory and critical-thinking skills as they enrich their knowledge on issues such as peace, war, trade, human rights, climate change, etc. By the end of the intensive simulations, students are able to more readily understand the various facets of an issue. The simulation exposes students to various fields such as diplomacy, politics, international relations, economics, communication/journalism/media, and law. ABIMAU 2018 is a remarkable opportunity to come together, engage in international diplomacy and make a difference. The organizers are privileged to offer you the opportunity to meet and work with your peers from various schools and look forward to your valuable contribution. Rendez-vous the weekend of February 22, 2018. For registration and other information, please contact the ABIMAU staff at info@abimau.com or look for the registration tab under the menu and when you have time, take a look at our tentative schedule.
