As a proactive participant in politics MUN is the perfect platform to explore, with others, my interests. At the heart of MUN are many things I enjoy, such as politics, debating and learning about different cultures and their viewpoints. I am a regular member of Femsoc and throughout my school career have attended events and talks of a religious, philosophical or political nature. Consequently I have been exposed to a variety of ideological systems and have learnt to challenge ethical codes. I'm considering entering a political career, specifically foreign aid work, because I feel passionately that there are many injustices in the world, especially in the Middle East and hope to become an active citizen with the skills to aid the many humanitarian crises currently unfolding in our societies. I attend Stephen Perse 6th Form, where I currently study 4 a-levels: Biology, Chemistry, English and History. I am applying to study History at university next year, for as Martin Luther King Jr. once said "We are not the makers of history. We are made by it. And therefore it is a subject intrinsic to understanding the society we live in today.
