I'm serving as the deputy chair of the Ecology and Environment committee at the 2018 CamMUN conference and am really excited about getting to grips with the hugely important and controversial issues to do with our environment such as deforestation and overfishing; as a passionate environmentalist I look forward to hearing ideas from delegates on how to solve the real pressing issues threatening our existence as we know it. I have no previous experience with MUN but have previously done work experience in a major charitable organisation and spent time hearing about the importance of international agreements such as the Montreal Protocol in helping to prevent the worsening of climate change. At school I study Physics, Maths, History and Spanish which I really enjoy and I look forward to focusing on environmental issues not included in any of my subjects. I'm excited to learn more while I prepare for the conference and to meet many of the delegates at the conference!
