Page 1 – Introduction & Vision
The Youth Movement to Model United Nations (YMMUN) is an independent, youth-driven initiative designed to provide students with the opportunity to engage in global affairs through debate, diplomacy, and collaboration. By simulating the United Nations, YMMUN empowers students to become more informed, articulate, and responsible global citizens.
In today’s rapidly changing world, young leaders are not only the future—they are the present. From climate change to digital transformation, from public health to global peace, the decisions made today will define the generations of tomorrow. YMMUN was created to give youth a platform to step into the roles of diplomats and policymakers, encouraging them to explore international issues and practice the skills necessary for leadership.
The vision of YMMUN is to create a platform where young people learn the art of negotiation, respect diverse perspectives, and build sustainable solutions. Our mission is to inspire students to embrace diplomacy, empathy, and leadership in order to address real-world challenges with creativity and cooperation.

Page 2 – Structure of the Conference
The YMMUN Conference has been designed to replicate the functioning of the United Nations in an interactive and accessible way. It provides participants with the chance to represent countries, debate issues, draft resolutions, and experience the responsibilities of decision-making.
Committees at YMMUN
Delegates will be placed in committees modeled after real UN bodies, such as:
General Assembly (GA): Discussing peace, development, and cooperation.
United Nations Security Council (UNSC): Addressing global peace and security challenges.
Human Rights Council (HRC): Protecting human rights and freedoms worldwide.
World Health Organization (WHO): Promoting health, safety, and well-being across nations.
United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP): Tackling environmental issues and sustainability.
Agenda Topics
Each committee will discuss pressing global issues that encourage youth to think critically and propose creative solutions. Example themes include:
Climate action and sustainable development
Artificial intelligence and digital governance
Refugee protection and humanitarian response
Global health cooperation and pandemic readiness
Education and youth empowerment
Rules and Diplomacy
The conference will follow the Rules of Procedure (ROP) of Model United Nations to ensure fairness, order, and professionalism. Delegates will participate in:
Debates and caucuses (formal and informal discussions)

Voting procedures on key issues
Through this, participants will gain first-hand experience in diplomacy and international cooperation.
