Now in its fourteenth iteration, Yale Model United Nations Korea (Yale MUN Korea) has established itself as a premier conference on the East Asian Model UN circuit. Yale-affiliated Model United Nations conferences across the globe continue to be some of the largest and most prestigious conferences in the high school Model UN circuit worldwide. Yale MUN Korea brings this experience to delegates in Korea to further spread the Yale MUN educational mission through simulations of the United Nations.
Yale MUN Korea is a constituent program of the Yale International Relations Association. Founded in 1969, the Yale International Relations Association (YIRA) is the largest student organization on Yale's campus, with an active membership of 300+ students and thousands of alumni. YIRA aims to promote debate and awareness of international relations and global affairs through a number of unique programs. These include a global education program, Hemispheres, aimed at high schools in the New Haven area; the Yale Review of International Studies; a series of well-renowned speakers and international trips; and several conferences in cities across the world, including Taiwan, Europe, Singapore, Dubai, China, Latin America, South Asia, and Africa. YIRA is also host to Yale's traveling Model UN team, which is one of the top-ranked teams in the world.
