Where Debate Meets Deep Philosophy

Elevate your discourse. Challenge your assumptions. Move beyond the podium.

The Thesis Council (TTC) is not your typical Model UN conference. While we embrace the professional structure and procedural rigor of formal debate, we swap state representation for pure philosophical inquiry. At TTC, you don’t represent a country - you represent logic, ethics, and human nature.

What makes us different?

In a world of polarized soundbites, TTC creates a space for disciplined argumentation and collaborative reasoning. We move away from rhetorical performance and toward intellectual exploration. Our core principles are simple:

  • Argument over Opinion: Every claim must be anchored in reasoning and evidence,
  • Engagement over Dismissal: We practice "steel-manning", so the art of addressing the strongest possible version of your opponent's argument,
  • Clarity over Performance: We value the logical structure of your ideas over flashy delivery.

Not Your Usual Outcome

Forget standard resolutions. Each of our Chambers concludes by drafting a Consensus Document. It is a structured map of the debate that records our areas of agreement, our most powerful arguments, and the nuanced points where we still disagree.

Choose Your Chamber!

With 9 specialized Chambers, there is a place for every thinker:

  • The Paradox Chamber: Untangle the world’s most difficult logical puzzles,
  • The Ethics Chamber: Navigate the grey areas of moral dilemmas,
  • The Lens Chamber: Step into the mind of a specific philosopher to debate from their perspective,
  • The Emotions Chamber: Explore the philosophical weight of human feeling,
  • And many more, including Crisis, Society, and Philosophy

Join us for an intense weekend of high-level discourse. Whether you are a seasoned MUNer looking for a new challenge or a philosophy enthusiast ready to test your theories, The Thesis Council welcomes your curiosity and your logic.

Are you ready to examine the thesis?

If you are right, prove it!

*Minimum age for participants is 14 years.
