    Tackling Russian Expansionism

    About the committee

NATO and Russia have had a difficult relationship since the Cold War ended. In recent years, tensions between the two have only risen. Despite these difficulties, attempts at discussion and collaboration continue, but the obvious issue remains: are they feasible? On the one hand, Russia has a motivation to combat the alleged 'Western expansionism', which they see as a significant danger to their national interest and security. Ukraine, as an independent state, has the right to pursue its own course and maintain its sovereignty. While the complicated nature of such fighting makes it difficult to reach a good resolution, we can all agree that the primary victims of this long-running battle are innocent people. Thus, a long-term and peaceful resolution to this problem is something we should all strive for. As a committee with the fundamental vision of security, will the delegates of the North Atlantic Council be able to resolve the issue?
