The Oxford Model United Nations conference (OxfordMUN) is the largest and most premier Model United Nations conference in the UK. Held in the historic city of Oxford, OxfordMUN brings together delegates from different countries and backgrounds to debate pressing global issues, listen to illustrious guest speakers and partake in exceptional social events. Delegates are promised an academically rigorous and culturally rich experience that is unlike any other. Organised by current students and alumni of the University of Oxford, its roots can be traced back to model debates of the League of Nations, which took place in Oxford as early as 1921.
OxfordMUN satellite conferences are held all around the world (for high school students): in Canada, Singapore, India, and China. The flagship OxfordMUN 2025 conference in Oxford, UK marks the 34th edition of the modern-day conference.
This new university-level conference is the first of its kind, organised by the original OxfordMUN team that has a track record of running the best conferences all around the world. For the first time, we are bringing this expertise to the university circuit. This conference will be a better version of “OxIMUN” (the Oxford International Model United Nations conference). With highly experienced organisers, better venues within the famous walls of the University of Oxford, and world-famous keynote and committee speakers, this will be the most academically rigorous and diverse conference in all of Europe.
Applications will open on August 15th, and will stay open until October 15th.
