About

United Ballot, United Governance

One Nation One Election (ONOE) refers to the proposal of conducting Parliamentary and State Assembly elections across India simultaneously, replacing the current cycle of frequent elections. The concept aims to reduce the financial burden on the nation, minimise administrative disruption, ensure consistent governance, and allow policymakers to focus on development rather than perpetual campaigning. Supporters consider ONOE a pathway toward efficiency, political stability, and long-term policy continuity, while critics highlight logistical challenges, constitutional hurdles, and concerns regarding representation and federal autonomy. The agenda invites delegates to evaluate whether simultaneous elections can strengthen India’s democratic framework while preserving federal balance and electoral fairness.
