In Pursuit of a Humane World.
Navrachana International Model United Nations (NIMUN) was founded in 2011 by four visionary IB students from the Class of 2012, who recognized the power of UN simulations to develop leadership, diplomacy, and critical thinking.
At NISV, MUN is more than an academic exercise—it’s a transformative experience. Students engage in research, debate, negotiation, and collaboration as they represent nations, tackle global issues, and frame solutions with empathy and precision.
With the participation of ISSR Sweden, NIMUN has gone international, hosting over 200 delegates annually from reputed schools across India. The conference, led entirely by IB students, offers a rigorous, immersive platform for thoughtful discussion and growth.
In recent years, we were honored to welcome Colonel Sofiya Qureshi as Chief Guest. Renowned as the first woman to lead an Indian UN peacekeeping contingent and known for her role in Operation Sindoor, her presence inspired delegates to lead with courage and conviction.
Our motto—NIMUN: In Pursuit of a Humane World—continues to guide every resolution and dialogue, shaping changemakers of tomorrow.
