Karabakh University International Model United Nations Conference 2026 (KUMUN 2026) is the first international MUN conference to be held in Khankendi, Azerbaijan, from May 29–31, 2026. Organized by the International Youth Dialogue Platform (IYDP), with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and hosted by Karabakh University, the conference will bring together 100 participants, including international delegates, for a high-level diplomatic simulation.
The conference will feature four committees: the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), UNESCO, the International Court of Justice (ICJ), and the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Participants will engage in structured debates on pressing global issues, develop resolutions, and gain hands-on experience in diplomacy, negotiation, and public speaking.
KUMUN 2026 aims to create a platform for young people to enhance their skills, connect with peers from different countries, and contribute to meaningful international dialogue. The conference also provides a unique opportunity to experience the cultural and historical significance of Khankendi while being part of a dynamic and internationally oriented academic environment.
