KHNI-DMUN Youth Representatives 2025
Katija Hyoungjoo Neuber Institute & DMUN Foundation
The KHNI-DMUN Youth Representatives Program is a prestigious opportunity for young changemakers to represent the DMUN Foundation at international engagements and conferences. In collaboration with the Katija Hyoungjoo Neuber Institute (KHNI), this initiative aims to build a diverse pool of dedicated youth representatives who will advocate for meaningful youth participation in global decision-making processes.
Please note that this program is self-funded. Selected representatives are responsible for making their own arrangements, including travel, accommodation, and other expenses related to attending conferences—often held in New York or Geneva.
The application will remain open throughout 2025.
Application & Selection Process
- Round One of Applications selects individuals for a pool of youth representatives who may be considered for future DMUN Foundation delegations.
- Selection to this program does not guarantee participation in a specific conference. Instead, a secondary application process will be distributed among the selected pool for each specific international conference/engagement.
- Representatives for each engagement will be chosen based on availability, funding status, expertise in the engagement’s subject matter, and other relevant factors.
Eligibility & Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated commitment to international affairs, youth advocacy, or diplomacy.
- Previous engagement in DMUN Foundation programs or similar initiatives.
- Strong communication skills and ability to represent youth perspectives in high-level discussions.
- Willingness to engage in preparatory sessions and post-conference follow-ups.
Important Information for Applicants Under 18 - If you are under 18, you may need a chaperone to attend the event. We will provide updates on this requirement as more details become available.
- Some conferences, due to UN policy, are NOT OPEN to representatives under the age of 18, regardless of chaperones.
