What is KAIMUN I?
KAIMUN I is a student-led Model United Nations conference powered by NVIDIA, hosted at Kaohsiung American School in Taiwan. This innovative conference focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and global governance, providing a platform for young diplomats to explore the challenges and opportunities presented by rapid AI advancements in international policy.

The Rise of Artificial Intelligence in Global Governance
The theme of KAIMUN 2025 explores how Artificial Intelligence transforms global governance systems. The rapid development of artificial intelligence creates impacts that extend from scientific progress to international relations and global government structures. The theme examines how artificial intelligence transforms political systems while studying decision-making processes and power distribution between nations and governments. Artificial intelligence brings both groundbreaking possibilities and significant obstacles to the table through its ability to enhance diplomatic negotiations and policy projections while raising ethical questions about accountability and autonomy and supervision. The main discussion points will focus on AI implementation within international organizations and the necessity of international collaboration.
What is Being Simulated?
Delegates will engage in simulations across various UN bodies, each tailored to explore AI's role in global affairs:
- Security Council
Focuses on international peace and security, addressing how AI influences conflict and defense strategies. - General Assembly 1 & 2
Deliberates on disarmament, international security, and the socio-economic implications of AI. - ECOSOC
Examines economic and social issues, including the impact of AI on development and human rights. - UNESCO
Explores AI's influence on education, science, and cultural preservation. - CRISIS Committee
