🤝 Negotiation Table (NT) II

📌 Topic: Boardroom: The 15% Dilemma

Negotiation Table (NT) is a participant-driven negotiation format developed by HMMUN. Unlike traditional Model United Nations committees, NT operates without an Executive Board directing discussions, formal speaking orders, motions, or procedural rules. The responsibility for progress rests entirely with the participants.

🏢 At NT II, participants will step into the boardroom of Nexora Global, a leading technology company facing mounting financial pressure. Following a decline in profitability, the Board of Directors has mandated a 15% reduction in expenditure. The challenge? Deciding where those cuts should come from.

💼 Participants will assume the roles of senior executives, each responsible for protecting different priorities:

  • Finance and profitability
  • Operations and efficiency
  • Technology and innovation
  • Marketing and growth
  • Human Resources and employee welfare
  • Overall corporate strategy

⚖️ Every reduction comes with consequences. Every department has something to lose. Through discussion, coalition-building, compromise, and strategic decision-making, participants must determine how Nexora Global will navigate this crisis.

⏳ The Negotiation Table will run for two hours, during which participants will be expected to take initiative, contribute actively, and work toward an outcome.

🌟 Success at the Negotiation Table is not determined by who speaks the most or wins the most arguments. Instead, NT rewards initiative, adaptability, collaboration, and the ability to move the table toward meaningful progress.

Welcome to the boardroom. The future of Nexora Global is in your hands.

⚠️This is an advanced simulation designed for students passionate about global affairs, diplomacy, and sustainable development. Applicants are expected to demonstrate analytical depth, strong communication skills, and genuine interest in international cooperation.
