About

Shaping Sustainable Future Through Global Dialogue

🌏 Green Horizon Model United Nations Conference

Tagline: “Uniting Young Voices for a Sustainable Tomorrow.”

The Green Horizon Model United Nations (GHMUN) is more than a conference , it is a gathering of young minds determined to shape a fairer and greener world. It brings together students, thinkers, and aspiring diplomats to deliberate on the defining challenges of our time, where ideas meet responsibility and words inspire real change.

This year’s theme, “Climate Finance for the Future: Scaling up to $1.3 Trillion per Year by 2035 for Developing Countries,” calls upon delegates to reimagine global cooperation to explore how nations can share wealth, wisdom, and technology to safeguard our shared planet.

At Green Horizon MUN, diplomacy becomes dialogue, and dialogue becomes purpose. Every committee, every resolution, and every voice carries the promise of a generation that refuses to stay silent in the face of crisis. Together, we look beyond borders and politics — toward a horizon that is not only green, but hopeful.

    About the committee

--- 🌺 Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) stands as one of the United Nations’ most vital platforms dedicated to advancing gender equality and empowering women worldwide. Established in 1946, it serves as the principal global body shaping policies, promoting rights, and driving action to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women and girls. In the Green Horizon Model United Nations, the CSW invites delegates to reflect on how gender equality is not merely a social goal but a foundation for sustainable development and climate resilience. Delegates will debate issues ranging from economic empowerment and education to leadership, safety, and access to resources — all through the lens of inclusivity and global cooperation. This committee challenges participants to think critically, speak compassionately, and design solutions that uplift voices often unheard. In doing so, the CSW at GHMUN embodies the belief that when women rise, humanity rises with them.

    About the committee

🌏 United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA) The United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA) is the world’s highest-level decision-making body on environmental issues. It brings together nations, organizations, and youth leaders to shape a shared vision for a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable planet. At the Green Horizon Model United Nations, UNEA serves as a platform where delegates discuss the most urgent environmental challenges — from climate change and biodiversity loss to pollution and sustainable resource management. It encourages young minds to think beyond national interests and find global solutions rooted in cooperation, innovation, and empathy. Through spirited debate and diplomacy, delegates in UNEA will explore how humanity can strike a balance between progress and preservation. This committee stands as a reminder that the choices we make today will define the world future generations inherit — a world that must remain green, resilient, and full of hope.
