GFMUN X 2026

Gordon Fairweather was one of Canada's most distinguished parliamentarians and was appointed our first High Commissioner for Human Rights.  He was instrumental in the addition of equality rights to The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.  Mr. Fairweather was also a notable alumnus of our school.  Since 2016, we have been hosting GFMUN in his honour.  We have grown from three committees in our very first session to ten committees in our most recent iteration.  Our delegate numbers continue to grow as we were the very first high school Model UN in Atlantic Canada.  October 2026 will see the 10th anniversary of GFMUN!
