In resolution 78/231 of 22 December 2023, the General Assembly decided to convene a Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, which will take place from 30 June to 3 July 2025 in Spain, to assess the progress made in the implementation of the Monterrey Consensus, the Doha Declaration and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda, as well as to address new and emerging issues in the context of the urgent need to accelerate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The DMUN Foundation, under clause 4.B. of GA Resolution 78/231, which states, “To request the President of the General Assembly to draw up a list of representatives of other relevant non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, academic institutions and the private sector who may participate in the Conference and its preparatory process, taking into account the principles of transparency and of equitable geographical representation and with due regard for gender parity, and to submit the proposed list to Member States for their consideration on a non-objection basis and bring the list to the attention of the Assembly for a final decision by the Assembly on participation in the Conference and its preparatory process . . .” has been given the right to nominate up to two representatives to participate in the conference, and the preparatory commission.

Therefore, the Foundation has decided to commission an open call for interested youth applicants (18-30 years of age) to receive accreditation support to attend the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, and its relevant preparatory meetings.

Eligibility:

• Aged 18 or above
• Citizen of a United Nations Member or Observer State
• Able to fund the transport and accommodations to the conference
• Has a valid passport
• Able to attain the visa to the conference venue

The Foundation will nominate 2 representatives each to the following conferences:

• IMF - World Bank Annual Meetings, Washington D.C., 25-27 October
• 2nd Preparatory Commission for FfD4, UNHQ NYC, 2-6 December 2024
• 3rd Preparatory Commission for FfD4, Mexico City, Feb (Exact Date TBD)
• 4th Preparatory Commission for FfD4, UNHQ NYC, (TBD)
• 4th International Conference on Financing for Development, Spain, 30 Jun - 3 July 2025

IMPORTANT NOTE:

All participants can choose to apply for one conference ONLY. 

You can select which conference to apply to by choosing your preferred conference in the committee's tab when registering.

The Foundation DOES NOT provide financial support or resources for this conference; we only provide ground passes and necessary accreditation.

The respective United Nations Office finalizes the confirmation of representatives. If the United Nations objects, which will be considered force majeure, selected participants may not be able to register.
