The Security and Authority of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL)

    About the committee

UNSC was created in 1945 with the objective of maintaining international peace and security following the end of World War II. The UNSC comprises 15 members, which include five permanent members who have veto powers; the United States, Russia, China, United Kingdom, and France, and 10 non-permanent members whose membership changes every two years. Originally, UNIFIL was created by the Security Council in March 1978 to confirm Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon, restore international peace and security and assist the Lebanese Government in restoring its effective authority in the area. Following the July/August 2006 crisis, the Council enhanced UNIFIL and decided that in addition to the original mandate, it would, among other things, monitor the cessation of hostilities; accompany and support the Lebanese armed forces as they deploy throughout the south of Lebanon; and extend its assistance to help ensure humanitarian access to civilian populations and the voluntary and safe return of displaced persons. On June 28, the Israeli army detonated a tunnel in the southern Lebanese town of Majdal Zoun, with the blast heard across wide areas. During the night, massive explosions and plumes of smoke shook the entire region during the Israeli army's blasting operation. Operating in an extremely volatile environment, with fluctuating risk levels and the constant possibility of sudden escalation, the peacekeepers adapted to the rapidly evolving situation but remained in their positions across Lebanon and along the Blue Line. At this committee, as delegates evaluate UNIFIL’s authority and operational challenges in the region, they will determine the necessary diplomatic and strategic steps to respond to these recent escalations and territorial violations, ensuring the preservation of UNIFIL’s ultimate purpose.

    About the committee

Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is known as the primary foreign intelligence agency that operates for the United States (US) having been formed after World War II, in 1947. The Central Intelligence Agency is considered the most impactful of all the intelligence agencies; it is clear that the agency is essential for the US’s covert operations. The CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) is a committee with two cabinets. The members of these cabinets are carefully selected and are not chosen at random. Every CIA agent has the same mission: to protect the United States of America from dangerous threats, foreign enemies, and international conflicts. However, completing this mission is never easy. This committee takes place during one of the most important moments in CIA history. You are about to relive what is known as the Agency's greatest failure: the Bay of Pigs Invasion. This time, however, history has not been written yet. Whether the operation ends in success or failure depends entirely on your decisions. Remember, in the world of intelligence, trust is a luxury. You may not even be able to trust the agent you drink coffee with every morning or the colleague you train with every day. Secrets, betrayal, and deception can be found everywhere, and every decision you make may change the course of history. One objective remains clear: Fidel Castro must be stopped. The future of this operation, and perhaps the future of the CIA itself, is now in your hands.

    About the committee

A new figure was rising to the Ottoman throne—one who deeply unsettled the European powers: Bayezid I, known as "Yıldırım". The thunderous sound of his advancing cavalry created a massive resonance—an echo that reverberated all the way to the streets of Rome. Naturally, this resonance had consequences; it led to the assembly of yet another Crusader army, this time with Yıldırım as the target. Would Yıldırım Bayezid emerge victorious, or would the Crusaders achieve their aims?

    About the committee

The World Health Organization (WHO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations and the leading authority conducting work on international public health. Founded in 1948, WHO aims to provide the highest attainable level of health services to every individual in society, coordinate international health operations, and ensure the well-being of the population primarily in terms of physical health, but also psychologically and socially. The agenda item is "Health problems arising from hunger crises." It aims to ensure the life safety of many people, particularly the population in Africa, and to safeguard people's health security in the event that this situation impacts larger populations in the future. The committee aims to find solutions on how to protect the health of people in regions suffering from hunger, improve communication between countries on this matter, and ensure better coordination during crisis situations.
