EmpowerMUN 2026 is an international online Model United Nations conference dedicated to empowering young leaders through meaningful dialogue, diplomacy, and education. As a youth-led initiative, the conference provides a platform for delegates from diverse backgrounds to engage in constructive debate on issues surrounding women's rights, gender equality, misogyny, and the prevention of domestic violence.

Through committee simulations, research-driven discussions, and collaborative problem-solving, participants will examine the root causes of gender-based discrimination and develop practical, policy-oriented solutions that promote equality, dignity, and human rights.     Agenda: Addressing the Impact of Misogyny on Domestic Violence and Gender-Based Violence Misogyny and gender-based discrimination continue to fuel domestic violence and undermine the safety, dignity, and fundamental rights of millions of women and girls worldwide. Deeply rooted social norms, unequal power structures, and persistent stereotypes contribute to environments where violence is normalized, underreported, and insufficiently addressed. In this committee, delegates will examine the relationship between misogyny and domestic violence while exploring the roles of governments, international organizations, civil society, and local communities in preventing abuse and protecting survivors. Discussions may include strengthening legal frameworks, expanding access to education and support services, promoting gender equality, challenging harmful stereotypes, and fostering international cooperation to combat all forms of gender-based violence. Delegates are encouraged to develop practical, inclusive, and sustainable policy recommendations that uphold human rights, promote gender equality, and contribute to safer and more equitable societies worldwide.
