DrugaMUN 2026

Welcome to DrugaMUN 2026! We are excited to host another thrilling event fostering thought-provoking debate, creativity, and a myriad of ideas, adressing some of the most pressing ongoing global challenges! 

This year we are adressing what happens when central governance fails. The fractured frontiers in Myanmar led to a humanitarian crisis, while in Sahel, a group of coups led to military juntas taking absolute power. Both SC and HRC must deal with the aftermath of fragmentation and a power vacuum that left behind security risks and human rights violations. Delegates must navigate the thin line between institutional power of the UN awarded to them and respecting the will of local stakeholders. The crisis council has a special and urgent (fictional) global crisis to resolve. Good luck!

What is DrugaMUN?
A two-day conference that aims to simulate UN debate, hosted by one of the best secondary schools in Slovenia. Every year we bring togheter passionate young people from all over Slovenia and abroad to exchange ideas, forge new friendships, and think critically about the world of geopolitics and international relations. Join us!

Where does it take place?
At our school, II. gimnazija Maribor in the second largest city in Slovenia. II. gimnazija Maribor is home to a globaly acclaimed debate team, colorful and friendly student body, a large amphitheathre, and commonly reffered to as one of the best in Slovenia, a reputation we are proud of and determined to justify as you visit us.

What is the participation fee and what does it cover? 
50eur per delegate- with a special discount for schools. 
The fee covers the participation, 2 warm meals, snacks and quick assistance from our organizing team.
