Debate. Decide. Define Europe

Presented by the DMUN Foundation (Registered Charity, Republic of Korea), Discover MUN Model EU is a free online Model EU conference and youth-led simulation of the European Union's most consequential decision-making bodies. Built for ambitious delegates worldwide, this is a Model EU conference designed to challenge, educate, and inspire.

At Discover MUN Model EU, delegates do not merely observe Europe's most complex political institutions. They become them. Stepping into the roles of MEPs, Foreign Ministers, EU Commissioners, and senior European officials, participants engage with the realities of supranational governance: building consensus under pressure, navigating institutional procedure, and wrestling with the fundamental tension of 27 nations trying to speak with one voice.

Discover MUN Model EU features five high-calibre committees across the core pillars of EU governance. The European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee (AFET) places delegates at the center of EU foreign policy, tackling questions on Ukraine, China, enlargement, and sanctions. The Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) brings together Finance Ministers to debate fiscal rules, the digital euro, the Banking Union, and green transition financing. The European Commission Environment Committee challenges delegates to draft real legislation on the Green Deal, nature restoration, carbon border adjustment, and water scarcity. The Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Committee (LIBE) confronts the EU's most politically explosive files: migration, AI surveillance, rule of law, and digital privacy. The Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) demands the highest level of diplomatic skill, where Foreign Ministers negotiate with unanimity requirements on EU defence, the Middle East, Africa strategy, and Common Foreign Policy reform.

Topics across all five committees are drawn directly from the current European political agenda, ensuring that research, debate, and resolutions carry real-world relevance.

True to the founding mission of the DMUN Foundation, Discover MUN Model EU is completely free of charge. We believe that a delegate's financial circumstances should never determine their access to an exceptional Model UN or Model EU experience. What matters is the quality of your argument, the depth of your research, and your willingness to be challenged.

Our secretariat upholds high standards of academic rigour, procedural integrity, and delegate welfare, ensuring that every session, every speech, and every resolution drafted reflects the seriousness this simulation deserves. Committees are chaired by dedicated and experienced staff committed to creating focused, intellectually demanding, and genuinely rewarding sessions for delegates at every level of experience.

Discover MUN Model EU welcomes applications from delegates at all experience levels. Whether you are a beginner finding your voice in LIBE's civil liberties debates or an advanced delegate navigating the unanimous voting procedures of the Foreign Affairs Council, there is a committee for you.

This is a free online Model EU conference where delegates engage with European Parliament committees, Council of the EU simulations, and European Commission procedures in a rigorous, accessible, and youth-led environment.

Debate. Decide. Define Europe.

Discover MUN Model EU is an associated programme of the DMUN Foundation, a non-profit youth-led organisation registered in the Republic of Korea, dedicated to making high-quality Model UN and Model EU conferences free and accessible to every young person on earth, regardless of background, geography, or resources.
