About
“If you want war, prepare for peace”
It's a great pleasure to welcome back participants, both old and new, for the third edition of DLSMUN that will unfold on three consecutive days (the 20th, the 21st and the 22nd of December 2025) . This event, which has become a tradition for us, continues to improve in quality and ambition. After a first edition in 2024, which highlighted the importance of learning through dialogue, and a second in 2025 on the tensions between freedom and responsibility in the world, DLSMUN III marks a new milestone in our commitment to supporting young people who are aware, critical, and engaged in current global issues.
This year, DLSMUN III is organized around a powerful and necessary idea: "If you want war, prepare for peace." With this inverted phrase, we invite participants to rethink the very foundations of peace in an unstable world. This theme underscores a conviction: peace does not come by chance, but through collective efforts. It is built through diplomacy, inclusion, respect for the law, social justice, and true international cooperation. Preparing for peace means avoiding war. It means identifying and resolving problems before they escalate. It also means rethinking power relations, crisis management, and the role of international organizations in a changing world.
To make this reflection concrete, DLSMUN III offers a simulation with 12 committees, 7 in French and 5 in English, on a variety of topics: international security, human rights, sustainable development, technology, economics, justice, etc. Each committee will allow participants to debate, analyze, and negotiate, while respecting the overall theme.
DLSMUN III is more than just an exercise in diplomacy. It's an opportunity for former students to understand the world, find new solutions, and defend the values that make peace possible. We are pleased to have you with us and we believe your ideas will enrich this project.
