A New International Conference in the Heart of Egypt

In January 2027, Change the World Academy and C4C – Catalysts 4 Change will launch the first edition of Change the World Model UN Cairo, a new international conference dedicated to diplomacy, leadership, global cooperation and intercultural dialogue.

The conference is expected to welcome approximately 600 students, offering delegates the opportunity to experience the Model United Nations methodology in one of the world’s most historically and culturally significant cities.

Cairo represents an extraordinary setting for an international educational experience. For thousands of years, Egypt has stood at the crossroads of cultures, civilisations and continents. Today, the city combines this unique historical heritage with the energy of a modern capital and the growing importance of Egypt within the Mediterranean, African and Middle Eastern regions.

Change the World Model UN Cairo will allow students to debate some of the most important political, social, economic and environmental issues on the international agenda. Assuming the role of ambassadors and representatives of United Nations Member States, participants will develop their public-speaking, negotiation, research, leadership and problem-solving skills while learning the value of multilateral cooperation.

The programme will take place across two prestigious venues: the Grand Egyptian Museum and ESLSCA University. The Grand Egyptian Museum, one of the most important cultural institutions in the world, will provide an exceptional setting in which to celebrate the opening of the conference and the universal value of cultural heritage. The academic sessions will offer delegates a professional environment in which to conduct committee debates, negotiations and simulations of the United Nations system.

CWMUN Cairo is being developed in partnership with C4C – Catalysts 4 Change, led by its Founder and CEO, Sherif El Ashiry. The partnership combines Change the World Academy’s international educational model and more than 25 years of experience with C4C’s local expertise, institutional relationships and deep understanding of the Egyptian and wider MENA educational landscape.

The event is also supported by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, further strengthening its institutional and international dimension.

Change the World Model UN Cairo aims to become an annual meeting point for students from Egypt, the MENA region and the rest of the world. By bringing together young people from different nationalities, cultures and educational backgrounds, the conference will promote the values of democracy, tolerance, diversity, cooperation and mutual understanding.
