    About the committee

    Transnational organized crime poses a direct threat to international peace and security. Arms trafficking, in particular, fuels violent conflicts, destabilizes fragile states, and empowers cartels and mafias operating across borders. Despite global frameworks such as the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and the Arms Trade Treaty, gaps remain in enforcement, border control, and international cooperation. This committee will examine strategies to strengthen multilateral coordination, disrupt illicit arms supply chains, and address the political, economic, and social factors that allow organized crime networks to thrive. Delegates are tasked with proposing actionable solutions that balance state sovereignty with the urgent need for collective security.
