MUN Summer Camp at CU Boulder is a highly personalized, inclusive, skills‑focused program that brings The MUN Academy’s philosophy and training style into a collegiate environment.

Rooted in a Clear Philosophy

The summer camp is rooted in The MUN Academy’s mission to develop critical thinkers, confident speakers, and collaborative problem solvers.  It focuses on creating a robust space for realistic dialogue, so students learn to engage in debate grounded in reason, integrity, and conviction..

Tailored Training in a Two‑Week Format

The MUN Academy normally offers long‑term, tailored training programs and school collaborations, and the camp adapts this approach into an intensive summer format.

Instead of generic “one size fits all” drills, trainers monitor each student’s development and adjust content to their level, similar to how the Academy recommends progression through levels in its regular classes.

Creative, Interactive Teaching – Not Just Formal Debate

The Academy explicitly centers creativity, using dynamic, engaging materials and diverse teaching methods to make learning memorable and fun, not just lecture‑based. Camp sessions mirror this with simulations, role‑play, and interactive exercises that build critical thinking, adaptability, and confidence far beyond traditional debate formats.

Inclusive of Different Ages and Experience Levels

The MUN Academy welcomes students from about age 14 up through university level, and designs content to support both beginners and advanced delegates.
At CU Boulder, that translates into tracks and coaching that make first‑timers feel supported while still challenging experienced delegates aiming for high‑level conference performance.
