Committees

  • World War II - British War Cabinet

    20 seats · Intermediate · English
The summer of 1940 marks one of the most perilous moments in British history. France has fallen, and the Nazi war machine stands poised across the English Channel. Britain stands alone, facing the looming threat of invasion, the Blitz, and an ongoing struggle for control of the seas and skies. In this high-stakes crisis committee, delegates will take on the roles of Prime Minister Winston Churchill, his War Cabinet, and key military and political figures, including foreign representatives such as the U.S. ambassador and the leader of Free France. With the fate of the free world hanging in the balance, the committee must navigate an evolving crisis—strategizing for the defense of Britain, debating the future of British imperial holdings, and seeking alliances to ensure the nation's survival. Will the War Cabinet unify behind Churchill’s vision, or will alternative strategies emerge? Can Britain hold out long enough for aid to arrive? The choices made in this room will determine the course of the war and the fate of democracy itself.
