Cathedral MUN 2026

The Cathedral Model United Nations (CMUN) is India's longest-running student-run Model United Nations conference, founded in 1996 by The Cathedral & John Connon School, Mumbai. Best Delegate, the world's leading MUN authority, independently credits CMUN as the conference that launched India's entire MUN movement. The 30th edition takes place 8th to 10th August 2026 at the Trident Hotel, Nariman Point, Mumbai.

The host institution, founded in 1860, is consistently ranked #1 in Mumbai and among the top five schools nationally. Its alumni include Ratan Tata, Salman Rushdie, Fareed Zakaria, M.A. Jinnah, and Homi J. Bhabha. Cathedral's own MUN team has won Best International Delegation awards at Harvard MUN Boston, and has been listed among the world's Top 50 High School MUN Teams by Best Delegate. The student organisers behind CMUN are themselves trained at the highest levels of international competition.

CMUN's committee portfolio spans historical, contemporary, futuristic, and mythological simulations. Past editions have featured the Roman Senate of 44 BC, a futuristic Lok Sabha debating India's water crisis in 2029, the Mahabharata's Council of Kurukshetra, and a Narcotics Trade Conference set in 1982. Each edition also includes an International Press Corps and an essay contest.

The conference is entirely student-run. Delegates must be in Grades 8 through 12. Schools must send a minimum of 8 delegates to qualify for the Delegation Award.

Registration for CMUN 2026 is handled directly through the CMUN website, not through MyMUN.
