Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow

Canadian High Schools Model United Nations (CAHSMUN) is a non-profit, three-day, high school Model United Nations conference held annually in Vancouver, BC. For over two decades, CAHSMUN has shaped Model UN in Western Canada, welcoming students from around the world and developing future leaders through diplomacy, public speaking, and critical thinking.

CAHSMUN is an extraordinary opportunity for students to debate political, social, and economic issues in an environment unlike any other. CAHSMUN delegates participate in one of 22 committee simulations, ranging from the Disarmament and International Security Committee to Starbucks Corporation to the International Press Corps. Throughout the conference, delegates will assume the role of United Nations representatives or members of international or regional cabinets, adopting the foreign policies of their respective assignments.

At CAHSMUN, delegates will learn to apply their diplomatic skills in a tense environment while protecting the interests of the assignment they represent. By debating global issues, delegates will understand the complex relationships among states, broaden their perspectives on the international stage, and develop comprehensive solutions to the global challenges facing world leaders today. The lively and stimulating debates at CAHSMUN will support delegates' personal growth and prepare them for their future as global citizens.
