π Asia Youth Model United Nations (AYNMUN)
AYNMUN is a dynamic Model United Nations conference designed to empower young leaders to engage in diplomacy, critical thinking, and global problem-solving. Delegates are placed in committees based on experience level, ranging from beginner-friendly press work to expert-level international security and legal deliberation.
π Committees Overview
π Press Corps (N/A Difficulty)
The Press Corps serves as the media backbone of the conference. Delegates report breaking news, conduct interviews, write articles, and document committee proceedings in real time. Creativity, writing ability, and strong observation skills are essential, as press members shape the narrative of AYMUN.
π ECOSOC β Economic and Social Council (Intermediate)
ECOSOC addresses global economic development and social issues such as poverty, education, healthcare, inequality, and sustainable development. Delegates must propose practical, cooperative solutions that promote global welfare and long-term progress.
π‘ DISEC β Disarmament and International Security Committee (Intermediate)
DISEC focuses on international peace and security, including arms control, terrorism, cyber warfare, and global conflicts. Delegates engage in structured debate and negotiation to create resolutions that balance security and diplomacy.
β ICJ β International Court of Justice (Advanced)
ICJ simulates international legal proceedings where delegates act as judges and legal representatives. Cases involve disputes between nations, requiring strong legal reasoning, interpretation of international law, and persuasive argumentation.
π΄ UNSC β United Nations Security Council (Expert)
The UNSC is the most advanced and high-pressure committee in AYNMUN. Delegates address urgent global crises such as wars, sanctions, peacekeeping missions, and international threats. Rapid decision-making and advanced diplomatic strategy are required, as resolutions carry significant global impact.
