Asia IMUN 2017

The theme of Asia International Model United Nations (AIMUN) 2017 is “Enhancing Global Power through Diplomacy and Regional Integration”. This theme appeared since there are many issues which are related to the development of the global power and the interaction among International actor in order to solve those problems through diplomacy and negotiations. Asia International Model United Nations (AIMUN) 2017 is the first international Model United Nations (MUN) Conference hosted by Indonesia Global Network (IGN) that aims to bring Youth in Asia to enhance their diplomacy skills. This international MUN will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 2017. In addition, Asia International Model United Nations (AIMUN) 2017 also provides recent issues for each topic areas which will be discussed in every council in this conference. There will be 7 topics that will be addressed in each different council, and those topics are related with the theme of the IGN International MUN 2017. Otherwise, there are 7 main councils which will become the places for every delegates and Board of Executive for improving their diplomatic skills such as ARF (ASEAN Regional Forum), UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Council), UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organizations), and UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner For Refugees), IMF (International Monetary Fund), WHO (World Health Organizations), and OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation). The 7 main councils would become a new chapter to bring the comprehensive debates upon the topic area and even solutions towards those issues that have been discussed. Furthermore, Asia International Model United Nations will be the best place to gain diplomacy, negotiation, public speaking, and also critical thinking towards the international issues with the international atmosphere and framework.
