Considering NATO Expansion: The Implications of Ukraine and Maldova’s Potential Accession

    About the committee

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) stands at a pivotal crossroads — where security meets sovereignty, and expansion meets consequence. At Aurum MUN, delegates will delve into the geopolitical gravity of NATO’s potential enlargement to include Ukraine and Moldova. This discussion transcends military alliance; it questions the balance of power, the boundaries of deterrence, and the future of global stability itself. Delegates must navigate the fragile intersection between diplomacy and defense — weighing the promise of protection against the peril of provocation. In this room, strategy is gold, dialogue is power, and every word carries the weight of peace.
