🌍 AMUN GLOBAL 

AMUN GLOBAL (Atlas Model United Nations Global) is an international Model United Nations conference designed to bring together young leaders from around the world to engage in diplomacy, debate, collaboration, and problem-solving. Through realistic committee sessions, delegates will represent countries, analyze pressing global challenges, and develop practical solutions through negotiation and resolution writing.

AMUN GLOBAL aims to provide an inclusive, engaging, and educational platform where participants can strengthen their public speaking, research, leadership, negotiation, and teamwork skills while gaining a deeper understanding of international affairs.

From climate change and environmental protection to human rights, education, peace, and international security, AMUN GLOBAL encourages delegates to move beyond debate and turn dialogue into meaningful action.

Format:

GA: This competition will operate in a traditional sense, with moderated and unmoderated caucuses. The overall goal will be to write and pass resolutions. We will follow the modified UNA-USA procedure.

This simulation will also consist of six 1.5-hour rounds.

Communication: We will send out background guides and position confirmation through the AMUN Global WhatsApp group. If you are unable to access WhatsApp, we will work with you to find an alternative means of communication. Description 

Ensuring Equitable Access to Quality Education in Developing Countries focuses on reducing educational inequalities and ensuring that every child and young person has access to safe, inclusive, and quality education regardless of their economic or social circumstances. The agenda addresses barriers such as poverty, lack of schools and trained teachers, inadequate infrastructure, limited technology, conflict, and geographical isolation. It encourages international cooperation, sustainable funding, teacher training, digital learning opportunities, and inclusive educational policies to strengthen education systems in developing countries and advance SDG 4: Quality Education.

Description 

Preventing Terrorism Financing and Strengthening International Counter-Terrorism Cooperation focuses on addressing the financial networks that enable terrorist organizations to operate and expand. The agenda examines how states can strengthen financial monitoring, prevent illicit money transfers, improve intelligence and information sharing, and enhance cooperation between governments and international organizations. It also emphasizes building the capacity of developing countries to combat terrorism financing while protecting legitimate humanitarian and financial activities. The goal is to develop coordinated, practical, and lawful international measures that reduce terrorism financing and strengthen global security.

Description 

Managing Chemicals and Hazardous Waste for a Pollution-Free Planet focuses on introducing the environmental and health risks caused by the improper production, use, transportation, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous waste. The agenda addresses issues such as toxic pollution, unsafe waste disposal, chemical spills, and weak waste-management systems. It encourages stronger international cooperation, responsible chemical management, improved recycling and disposal technologies, capacity-building for developing countries, and effective regulations to prevent pollution and protect ecosystems and communities.
