SiegMUN 2022

Honourable Delegates,

We are delighted to invite you to participate in the 13th edition of SiegMUN! Last year, we held our conference online (with committees digital) and in person (with committees on site) with great success, this allowed delegates from across the world and locally to come together to address international issues through diplomacy.

We are delighted to gather at the conference venue as well at the digital meeting room. Both options provide you the individual decision how to participate of this year’s conference. Furthermore we keep necessary measures to ensure a safe experience for everyone involved.

The 2022 conference will cover a range of intriguing topics across five exciting committees, namely the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the International Labour Organization (ILO), United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA), United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), and the United Nations Press Corps (Press).

UNEA will be taking place entirely online, whereas our other committees will be taking place in person, if possible. For this to be done safely, the existing COVID-19 rules will be implemented. 

We believe that Model United Nations provides the ideal platform to foster these qualities in young people by giving them the chance to become more confident in public speaking, research and negotiation. While traditional learning methods have their place, we believe that experiential learning, such as MUN, can make a world of difference for young people preparing to enter the world as politically literate adults.

We therefore invite you all, future and former delegates, faculty advisors, friends to join us at the latest edition of our own conference: SiegMUN 2022 from the 16th - 19th of November.
