Event Overview

World Diplomats Model United Nations (MUN) – Istanbul 2026 is an international academic conference designed to provide students and young professionals with an immersive introduction to diplomacy, global governance, and multilateral decision-making. Organized by World Diplomats, a flagship project of Globenix Youth Forum Ltd (United Kingdom), the conference brings together participants from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds for a structured United Nations simulation experience.

Hosted in Istanbul, Türkiye, a city bridging Europe and Asia, the conference offers a unique setting to explore international cooperation, diplomacy, and dialogue. Delegates engage in formal committee sessions that reflect real United Nations procedures, fostering analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and collaborative problem-solving.

Participation

World Diplomats MUN – Istanbul is open to students and young professionals with an interest in international relations, diplomacy, and global affairs. Participants may apply in the following roles:

  • Delegates: Individuals representing assigned countries or institutions in UN committees
  • Head Delegates: Representatives coordinating institutional or group delegations
  • Faculty Advisors: Educators or mentors accompanying student delegations

Both first-time participants and experienced delegates are welcome.

Committees & Academic Focus

Delegates participate in simulations of selected United Nations committees and international bodies, addressing contemporary global challenges related to peace and security, human rights, sustainable development, and international cooperation. Committee agendas are designed to encourage substantive debate, policy analysis, and consensus-based resolution drafting.
