UNSAN MUN 2025 is our organisation’s first large scale international Model UN conference. This year our conference will centre on the theme of:

Human Nature: How do we defend Human Rights in the fight against climate change?

Why did we pick this theme? Because both of these issues, as relevant as they are, aren’t always studied in relation to each other, even though they overlap in many ways. This intersection allows us to study a wide range of issues and find something for everyone! They’re also relatively well-known and therefore a good starting point for negotiations. We also wanted to draw attention to some issues that are specific to Norway, such as the impact of climate change and climate policies on indigenous populations. More on this to come!

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Norway’s capital next June, where we will host a number of committees, covering issues that we feel relate to our theme’s central concerns of human rights and climate change.

We have set the committees at varying levels of difficulty, with options at beginner’s, intermediate and expert - so no matter your experience, there’s a committee for you!

There will also be plenty of fun socials around the conference, and engaging events with speakers that will share their insight about ‘How do we defend Human Rights in the fight against climate change?’.

Hope to see you there!
