UlaanbaatarMUN 2015

UlaanbaatarMUN 2015 is the first 3 day MUN conference organized in Mongolia and will unite 100 Mongolian high school students for an authentic simulation of the United Nations, which introduces students to the world of diplomacy, negotiation, and decision making. UlaanbaatarMUN will be held between the 24th and 26th October. The first 2 days of the conference will be held at Orchlon International School and the last day and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Mongolia. Ulaanbaatar Model United Nations is eager to develop and share the knowledge and abilities associated with the fine arts of diplomacy to Mongolian High School Students.

In this conference students are placed in UN committees and will roleplay as diplomats/delegates of an assigned country, on which the delegates conduct research before the conference and formulate positions that they will then debate with their fellow delegates in the committee on a certain global issue.

By participating in UlaanbaatarMUN, not only will you get insight into the workings of the United Nations and the dynamics of international relations, you will gain the opportunity to improve your language skills, learn interactively from students of your peers and form friendships that can last for years. Indeed, the greatest thing about a MUN conference is the memory it leaves behind. Apart from these aspects, the high recognition that MUN conferences have gained among prestigious universities makes it also a valuable extra-curricular activity.
