UEM Model United Conference is a Model United Nations organized by the University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata with the theme "Revolt to Resolve ". Team UEMMUN is a faction of people who are intrigued by the world of international relations and diplomacy and we hope UEMMUN will be the right place for you to enhance your capabilities and get encouraged to raise your voice. At MUN, one is bound to witness an exhilarating
debate on a particular agenda in parliamentary form within parliamentary walls. Nowadays, MUN has become one of the most prestigious events for youth to learn about diplomacy, both in a national and international scale. Furthermore, MUN has indirectly taught the participants to write, debate an argument, as well as speak in public.

Furthermore, youth will be required to think critically, learn diplomacy, develop their networks, compromise, provide a perspective in debating, and also improve skills in communicating with international delegates and executive boards from diverse academic backgrounds to discuss international issues and also as a platform to solve particular issues.

This time, we will be hosting four committees:

UNGA(I) DISEC: "The weapons of war must be abolished before they abolish us."-John F. Kennedy

We live in an era where the evolution of technology goes hand-in-hand with the opening up of new horizons of destruction. With the continuous development in research and technology, the structure of weapons, nuclear weapons, the peaceful possibility of maintaining self-security can sometimes become a threat to others unpredictably. The Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC) was formed for the promotion of cooperative arrangements and measures aimed at strengthening stability through lower levels of armaments with the resolve of Disarmament and the regulation of armaments. So call out the pacifist in you as we introduce DISEC as our very first committee in front of the house, giving you a platform to hone your skills and make your voice heard!

Agenda : Comprehensive review on the whole question of peacekeeping operations in all their aspects.

For years, women's rights movements have fought to address this inequality, from campaigning to marching through the streets. With the onset of a new era, new movements blossomed, breaking new barriers and exploring areas hitherto unspoken about, favoring the interest of women. The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in the UN is a tool to promote women's rights, documenting the reality, staying around the sector, and adapting to new schemes for establishing equity. Ergo, put together your voice and get prepared to learn and implement and debate your way towards a better world for women as UEMMUN'22 introduces its second committee of this edition, the UNCSW!

Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO): Poets and prophets have dreamt of a millennium, a utopia in which war will not exist and eternal peace will reign on earth. But every dream has to break someday, so did this. After the two devastating wars in the 19th century tore the world apart, it was assumed that peace will be our guest for a long time but, what about the recent news headlines? The mournings and threat to life?

With the Russian Defense Ministry claiming to have shaken Ukraine's land with weapons, further combatted by the US, looks like it's time for the bubble to burst past something unforeseen. So, Ladies and gentlemen then, put your acts together to grind your abilities and create the revolution through resolutions as we present the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), our third committee of UEMMUN'22 to resolve the heated threats and extremism.

Agenda : Strengthening regional cooperation, peace and security with special emphasis on the sources and challenges related to security.

If the constitution simply becomes a tool for Power eaten by self-avarice, then the country will be in disorder and chaos, destroying its exotic nature. To prevent the clutter and to create a piquant, The First Lok Sabha was constituted on 17 April 1952. Its point is to check the balance of composition and to check motions of no confidence against the government to maintain a swift and veracious decree with the maintenance of proper order engaging in a lawful battle. Thus, after a bizarre awaited moment, we bring you a nascent and pioneering committee, The Lok Sabha, for the very first time in UEMMUN 22, rendering you all to bolster your words and be prepared for a neoteric episode.
