TURAN MUN 2017

The Board of TURAN MUN 2017 cordially invites you to participate in Turan Model United Nations which is to be held at the premises of Turan University on April 28-30, 2017 in Almaty.The concept of Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations that aims to involve participants into the debate on a wide range of burning issues put on the United Nations bodies agendas. TURAN MUN will feature 6 committees and 18 topics that are designed to allow every delegate to be challenged, to encourage intense debates, and hopefully, to motivate delegates to see beyond their country’s stance. We believe that the recreated spirit of the UN multilateral diplomacy and focus on finding solutions through negotiation and collaboration will encourage our participants to take an active role in the debate, lobbying, drafting and voting on resolutions. The website will be continuously updated with all the information delegates need, including resources, schedules, etc. Turan MUN team visited international conferences such BIMUN 2013 in Budapest, RIMUN 2014 in Rome, MEDMUN 2015 in Menton and got inspired to promote MUN movement in Kazakhstan. Our fist Turan MUN 2015 was a success encouraging us to proceed. This will be our third conference and we hope to attract students who believe that through constructive peaceful talks we can make the desired goals feasible.
