TIMUN 2023

YUNA Tanzania has been organizing a flagship program of Model United Nations (MUN) for 25 years. This authentic simulation of the UN General Assembly (GA) brings together about 200 young people aged between 15 – 30 years from local and international community, provide them an opportunity to practice their diplomatic and leadership skills through debates and discussions governed by United Nations rules and procedures by taking roles of diplomats.

The Youth of United Nations Association (YUNA) Tanzania is pleased to announce that, the application window for the 26th Tanzania International Model United Nations (TIMUN) 2023 is now open! TIMUN - 2023 is slated to be convened from 15-19th May 2023 in Arusha, Tanzania with the theme, " SERVE AND LEAD FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT "
 

The set of Thematic Areas to be discussed in-depth are the following:

1. Youth role in sexual reproductive health and in ending gender based violence

2. Youth engagement in climate action and the leverage usage of renewable source of energy

3. Youth involvement in agriculture to ensure food security and livelihood

4. Youth role in leadership and promoting peace
