Deconstructing the Past, Redefining the Future

Welcome to SOASMUN 2025, the inaugural edition of this in-person Model United Nations Conference, hosted by SOAS' United Nations Society (UNsoc), from the 17th to the 19th January 2025!

This year's theme, Deconstructing the Past, Redefining the Future, aims to uplift and promote lesser heard voices throughout an innovative , refreshing and engaging weekend.

Delegates can look forward to a wide variety of committees, such as WHO, ICC, IOM, AU, HPBC, UNSC and Crisis. HPBC is of particular note, as we have worked with chairs to develop a new and exciting debate, centred around historic peace building. No matter your interests, there is a committee for you!

So, what do you get out of SOASMUN 2025?

  • A 3-day MUN conference ran by some of the best organisers and chairs in the UK
  • To debate in London, one of the world's largest and most influential cities
  • Fun social events and networking - WITHOUT an extra social ticket charge
  • An engaging opening ceremony, with a certain influential speaker ;), and live music performed by SOAS' bands
  • A goodie bag, full of loads of cool stuff
  • Snacks, drinks and lunch on Saturday from one of our local partners

Our early bird ticketing has passed, but don't worry, our delegate fees are still very affordable, priced at £23. Unfortunately, due to regulations from our student union, we are unable to process payments through myMun's system. Instead, please click the link below, and follow the instructions of the form to sign up for SOASMUN 2025.
